This Glasgow bedroom project combines contemporary luxury with the elegance of a traditional period property. The design enhances the room’s grand proportions through bespoke upholstery, layered textures and carefully balanced neutral tones with rich teal and blush accents.
The bespoke floor-length curtains are a standout feature, designed with a sophisticated colour-blocked detail combining warm neutral fabric with deep teal borders and a subtle blush trim. Their tailored fullness softens the bay window while adding warmth, privacy and a boutique hotel feel to the space.
The bespoke upholstered headboard creates a dramatic focal point with full-height vertical panelling in a soft velvet finish, framed by mirrored side panels and integrated bedside units. This adds height, symmetry and understated glamour to the room.
The bed styling features layered blush bedding paired with textured teal throws and carefully selected cushions. Geometric embroidered pillows introduce subtle pattern and depth, while softer painterly fabrics add contrast and warmth.

This bespoke bedroom project in Bearsden was designed to create a calm, luxurious retreat with a strong architectural presence and a soft, boutique-hotel atmosphere. The brief focused on combining contemporary styling with warmth and comfort, resulting in a space that feels both elegant and deeply relaxing.
The design centres around a carefully balanced palette of warm taupes, textured greys and soft stone finishes. Large-format marble-effect wall panels introduce depth and sophistication, while vertical fluted detailing adds rhythm and structure throughout the room. Integrated ambient lighting was used extensively to enhance the architectural features and create a soft evening glow, bringing warmth and intimacy into the space.
A fully upholstered feature wall frames the bed and introduces softness against the clean linear elements. The custom bed design, layered textiles and textured boucle accent chair were selected to add comfort and tactility while maintaining the minimalist aesthetic. Rich herringbone timber flooring grounds the scheme and adds contrast against the lighter wall finishes.
Bespoke joinery and detailing were key to the overall concept. From the floating vanity area with statement smoked-glass pendants to the integrated lighting channels and precision wall panelling, every element was designed to feel seamless and refined. Matte black accents and sculptural hardware introduce a contemporary edge while complementing the darker tones used throughout the room.
Lighting played a major role in the final atmosphere of the project. Decorative pendant lighting beside the vanity adds a dramatic focal point, while concealed LED lighting enhances depth and highlights the vertical forms within the space.
